Solo Magic is an experimental arts platform designed to support multi-disciplinary artistic practice and new forms of cultural storytelling.
The platform brings together artists whose practices span visual art, performance, writing, sound, and technology. It exists as a space for work that moves between forms and challenges how art is typically created, presented, and experienced.
Solo Magic operates across digital and physical formats, including publications, performances, and collaborative projects. Its work includes digital publications, live performances, and collaborative projects that connect artists with broader audiences. Through these efforts, the platform supports artists in sharing work that is process-driven, exploratory, and rooted in cultural inquiry.
At its core, Solo Magic is about creating access to new possibilities. It makes room for work that may not easily fit within traditional institutions and builds context for artists to experiment, take risks, and reach audiences in meaningful ways.
Developed through Pan African Center for Empowerment (PACE), a Seattle-based nonprofit supporting artists and creative communities, Solo Magic contributes to a broader ecosystem of interdisciplinary projects exploring identity, memory, performance, and the role of art in shaping cultural change. This work connects artists and audiences through shared experience.
MISSION + VISION

Dialogue is a form of strategy. Strategy is needed in the resistance. Resistance fuels change.
β Jade Solomon Curtis, Founder and Creative Director
We create space for work that challenges traditional categories and reflects the evolving landscape of contemporary creative practice.
Solo Magic exists to support artists whose work expands how art is created, as well as how itβs experienced. Solo Magic is committed to presenting multi-disciplinary work, supporting experimental practices, and creating opportunities for artists to share work across contexts. Through publications, performances, and collaborative projects, Solo Magic works to build new pathways for artistic expression and engagement.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Solo Magic was founded by Jade Solomon Curtis, an artist, curator, and creative director whose work centers performance, narrative, and Black cultural production.
Her practice spans choreography, digital media, and interdisciplinary storytelling. Through her work, she creates environments where artists can explore new forms, deepen their practice, and connect with audiences in ways that feel immediate and transformative.
Solo Magic reflects this approach. It is a platform shaped by experimentation, collaboration, and a belief in the power of art to shift how we see and move through the world.
